I am Sulekha, Founder and lead Guru at Supre Yoga Studio. I am a proud and loving mum & wife. I have been a travel planner for 16years. I am passionate cook. I am a people person and also love spending time by myself. I am NOT a philosopher or preacher. I am NOT a healer or advisor of any sort. What I am, is a strong believer of the powers we hold within ourselves to create, change and cherish this life we have been blessed with.

I grew up in India and moved to Australia when I was 22. It has been an interesting journey getting to where I am today, but that’s for another day. As a child we practiced Yoga at school and at home. It was just something we did. I enjoyed it and most of it was Asana practice. It was only later, in my early 20’s, I discovered its true meaning and I haven’t looked back since then. It has taken me several years and I am always “Still Learning”

My little home Yoga studio is lovingly designed and built from scratch by my husband, my in laws and myself. I feel truly blessed and grateful to have this space and for everyone who comes to share it with me. I learn more from you than you, from me.Where did the name Supre come from? It’s just short for the name my parents gave me “Supriya” and my dad calls me “Supre” to this date. What it means is “Loved by All” and that’s exactly what I wanted to create for everyone. A space loved by all. A space you feel comfortable and safe in. A space where you start your journey and discover a lot along the way. It’s not the final destination but a place you visit all the time.

A little something I wish to share with everyone about Yoga and what it means to me….

Yoga is not a destination. You Do Not just arrive somewhere, live there for a while and leave. It is the experiences of the journey. It is a discipline and a lifestyle you create for yourself. A practice not just for the body, but the mind, the breath and the soul. It is a never ending and always changing journey with no one else but yourself. As I share my knowledge and practice with everyone, treat me ONLY, as a Guru and a guide. I do not shape or mould you to what you should be. You are You and I am Me.

I am here to tell you - Yoga practice is what you want it to be for you and no one can tell you otherwise. Every day you are different and so will your practice be. Yoga is strength, courage and power. It is overcoming the fears of living in your own skin and accepting yourself the way you are. It is about being kind to yourself and everyone around you. It is about being selfless and not selfish. Mindful and True. More love and less hate. Less Sympathy and more Empathy. Knowing less about what others may think of you and more about what you are to yourself. And most of all “Yoga is YOU”

Despite being new to teaching Yoga, Brooke has experience volunteering for community projects since childhood in Churches, Schools, Community gardens and Markets. In 2017, for the Queensland Music Festival, Brooke was a regional coordinator for the Issac regional production, The Power within, teaching dance routines to primary school students. Brooke has also spent time as a recreational gymnastics coach, teaching kindergarten, Gym-ability, and Fitter for life (50+ Fitness classes), encouraging fitness at any stage.

About Brooke’s yoga journey…Brooke’s journey began when researching how to manage attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) while studying her Diploma of Early Childhood Education. She began practicing online yoga classes and soon enough, yoga became her safe place to go to when facing crisis. ’Brooke began yoga teacher training after starting her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. With additional stressors at the time, her mental health plummeted. She did not want to continue neglecting her mental health during her studies and wanted accountability. So she began her yoga teacher training in the second term of 2023. Brooke fell in love with the philosophy of the eight limbs of yoga, especially being kind and honest with ourselves, an aspect that she incorporates in her classes (We do not have to bend over backwards to do yoga… just allow ourselves to be).

Join Brooke, in this journey together, as we all take a step back from the stresses of life. Brooke says “Our practice does not have to be perfect, as we all need some compassion and grace to try again.”

Meet Aarushi, a warm and dedicated yoga instructor passionate about helping others achieve balance, inner strength, and abundance of spirit through the practice of yoga.

Aarushi’s teaching journey began seven years ago with delivering leadership and sustainability workshops for school students, where she discovered the joy of helping others grow. Having grown up in India, where yoga, ‘pranayama’ or breathwork, and meditation are a natural part of everyday life, she truly came to value these practices after moving to Australia three years ago. Yoga became her way to strengthen and nourish both body and mind, helping her find balance in a new environment.

New to Rockhampton, Aarushi is excited to share the transformative power of yoga, pranayama, and meditation with the community. Whether you’re starting fresh or looking to deepen your practice, Aarushi would love to grow with you as your friendly neighbourhood yogi!
